You know you are in France when....
you see "Baguette" passing you by on the road...
well, we headed down the the Mediterranean Sea....
Sandy beaches, blue skies...
And the marshlands of Camargue with it's native ancient breed of horses:
Named after the place itself:
The Camargue horse
And it's traditional bulls
But before we go there, let's stop in ARLES
It was here in Arles,
where Vincent Van Gogh painted his famous
"Cafe Terasse at night"
Roman footprints in Arles:
dating back to the first century BC
Charming, narrow streets with non-existent side-walks
After a day of sight-seeing, we drove back to the coast
And after watching the horses running through the streets we were up for our very own horse adventure:
Exploring these beautiful marshlands
with it's pink flamingos
the best possible way:
On horseback
On horseback
We made some friends along the way and hope to see them in Canada some day:
Hanne and Mauro from Belgium
Hanne and Mauro from Belgium
we had SO MUCH FUN
Gorgeous landscapes
I think Steve could get used to this...
:)
Riding along the ocean shores into the sunset
I don't think there could be any better ending to a perfect trip :)
