It took a few months... but we finally received Steve's graduation photos. It was a wonderful day, where one could truly feel the Spirit's presence as several hundred students left the classroom for the full-contact world of ministry. The two men with Steve are Jim Holm, President of the Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, California, and Doug Berg representing the MBBS BC campus.

Apparently the "hooding" tradition is a British thing. One approaches the stage with his or her hood on the arm, then the student is seated so that the school authorities can place the hood over top of the gown.
The entire day was a true blessing for everyone. Steve remarked that being back in the school setting for the day made him eager to do more seminal studies. Stay tuned.
Of course anyone who goes through seminary knows that they can not do it alone. In that sense the graduation ceremony is also about friends, family and spouses. For that reason this photo is very symbolic.
And now for some of our own (less professional) pictures from the day...
Gale is our next door neighbour, and a dear friend. It was such a blessing that she would come all the way out to the mainland (through a snowstorm!) for Steve's graduation. She is a gem!
Wayne & Esther also came to the ceremony. These folks were truly a support to Steve during his studies at seminary, and often let him stay at their home while attending classes.
