We had talked about checking out Saltspring Island for quite some time
and decided
one Sunday morning to do a day trip...
It was nice, very nice-
Hiking up one of the mountains and looking over back over the Cowichan Valley
Nobody was on the trails
as it was still early February and the air quite crisp

Being myself
Exploring the windy, oft quite hilly island roads
we run into a 'herd'???or flock of
TURKEY
They literally blocked the road
and created quite the noise
It took about 10 Minutes for them to let us pass
but
as we were on
island time we enjoyed the moment :)
We finished up the day with a nice beach 'sniff' for the dog
which she appreciated- I'm sure
Minnie in her typical 'resting' pose
