Trip to NB and PEI

We decided in March to go and take a trip out east 
to check out the sites
in pursuit of our future location.

It was a grey day on the Bay of Fundy, 
but nevertheless it was such a gift to explore this area and simply spent time together-
even being in a car all day.

We thought if we go in the most un-welcoming season, 
it would give us a more realistic picture what it would mean to live here...

 

We checked them all off the list: 
Saint John, Fredericton and Moncton. 

At the latter we stopped and Steve actually had an interview..
so did I as it turned out we were both offered jobs on the spot.
..but it did not feel right.

So off we went to beautiful PEI.

We loved Charlottetown, it's charm and people.

We ran into a german couple who left Germany a few years ago to learn english
and 'got stuck' here.

They opened an excellent foodie place, Leonards cafe, truly a great find!

And of course there is the ocean, the red soil and 
the birthplace of the 'Anne of Green Gables' stories....

The housing and farm prices on PEI and it's beauty even in wintertime made us weak in our knees, 

but we were not sure if it wouldn't be too isolated long term as we kinda like both : 

the city and country life...

Lots to think about... 

After leaving the island

we spent a day in Nova Scotia before heading back
for a long flight west:

How fast time has gone by; it's already Easter time!

And 'the bunny' did not only come to us...
- I actually hid a basket for my husband-so much fun :)-

Minnie looved her Easter bunny as well!
